El 17 de diciembre de 2023, Tzu Chi USA Northwest realiz\u00f3 un evento llamado “Celebrando la Resiliencia” en la Escuela Primaria Concow en Oroville, CA. Cont\u00f3 con m\u00fasica en vivo, presentaciones, una oraci\u00f3n interreligiosa, un almuerzo vegetariano saludable, as\u00ed como art\u00edculos de cuidado que fueron empacados por los voluntarios de Tzu Chi<\/p>\n

El evento convoc\u00f3 a los sobrevivientes del horrible incendio de Camp Fire en 2018, que devast\u00f3 la ciudad de Paradise, CA. En aquel momento, Tzu Chi USA realiz\u00f3 grandes esfuerzos para proporcionar ayuda a los sobrevivientes. Para algunos hogares, las tarjetas de efectivo que recibieron fueron la \u00fanica ayuda que pudieron obtener.<\/p>\n

Al acto asisti\u00f3 Peter Nelson, que record\u00f3 su experiencia: “Se me hace un nudo en la garganta porque fue la primera y \u00fanica organizaci\u00f3n con la que me top\u00e9 que realmente intent\u00f3 ayudar, y le estar\u00e9 eternamente agradecido… Me hizo sentir realmente ayudado”.<\/p>\n

Habiendo seguido adelante con su vida desde entonces, Peter se alegr\u00f3 de estar en el acto, tanto que devolvi\u00f3 el gesto con un donativo a Tzu Chi USA Northwest:<\/p>\n

“Cuando recib\u00ed el mensaje de este [evento], dije: ‘Voy’. Un par de d\u00f3lares extra que pudiera donaros me sent\u00f3 muy bien. Y estoy muy contenta de haberos conocido”.<\/p>\n

Megan Bingham explic\u00f3 la importancia de un acto como \u00e9ste para su comunidad. “Mis hijos vinieron y les encant\u00f3 la m\u00fasica y la celebraci\u00f3n, y superar nuestro trauma con [todo] el apoyo”.<\/p>\n
