Journey to Enlightenment: Opening Ceremony

For over 2,500 years, the story of Buddhism has been carried forward through oral tradition, sacred texts, prayer, and now modern technology.

Harvard FAS CAMLab and the Tzu Chi Charity Foundation joined to create Journey to Enlightenment: a landmark immersive exhibition tracing the evolution of Buddhism across centuries alongside the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation’s 60-year history.

Centered on eight sacred Buddhist sites from around the world, the exhibition invites audiences on an evocative, experiential journey where ancient wisdom meets contemporary storytelling. Through art, technology, and human connection, Journey to Enlightenment brings Buddhist tradition to life for modern audiences in a deeply meaningful way.
