Malaga Elementary, south of Fresno, is where we first met Manuel Garcia. In the 5th grade, he has already cemented his resolve to one day become a cardiologist or archaeologist, and carries an eagerness to learn close to his heart. Unfortunately, his eyesight began to dampen his spirit, as he struggled to distinguish the blur of words in his assigned readings. When Tzu Chi’s Vision Mobile services arrived at his school, however, he began to feel hope for the future once more.
