San Jose Finds Union in Tea

Between June 7–8, 2025, more than 600 tea enthusiasts came together at the Tzu Chi USA Northwest Region Office in San Jose for the inaugural San Jose Tea Festival. Hosted in collaboration with the Nevada Tea Festival and Tzu Chi, the event featured a diverse selection of over 200 teas from around the world and offered engaging workshops on tea culture, brewing methods, and history.

Attendees sampled an array of global teas and discovered the stories behind special blends like Jing Si Teas, deepening their appreciation for the craft. With participants traveling from near and far, the festival aspires to become a yearly celebration and gathering point. As Director Dr. Sally Wei shared, “I think there’s a great opportunity: using tea as a tool, as a bridge, to bring all kinds of people together.”
