Beyond Bars

Starting out in life, some get a tough break and it leads to a dangerous antisocial spiral; others make bad choices or hang with the wrong crowd, and also fall into a downward spin that lands them in prison. Punished, they do their time, but many yearn for an inner peace that can endure beyond bars. Buddhism offers that promise, but will Tzu Chi volunteers find a way through prison bureaucracy to offer this precious wisdom?
