Tzu Chi Youth Summer Camp: Walnut, LA

Students Travel from Taiwan to California to attend Tzu Chi’s two-week-long, Youth Summer Camp. Learning English, self-care and caring for others are just a few of the Camps daily practices.  “It gives them a lot of opportunities to communicate with each other focusing on critical thinking, teamwork, collaboration, & communication.” states a Camp Teacher. Field trips and volunteer work are also included in the Camp’s curriculum in order to maximize their American, cultural experience. Camp Volunteers incorporate Tzu Chi’s core values throughout the program. The goal? To raise the next generation of compassionate leaders.
