Walnut’s Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast

On May 1, 2025, students from Tzu Chi Education Foundation took to the stage for the finale of Walnut City’s Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast, held annually in celebration of the National Day of Prayer. 

Linda Freedman, Walnut’s mayor, said the event was meant to bring together “people of all faiths, religions, beliefs who want to come together for the power of prayer to make their community better and to instill a sense of hope and goodwill among all of us.” The Tzu Chi students sang “We Are the World” and received a standing ovation.
