Empowering Girls Through Pen Pal Programs

At the 70th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70), we heard an inspiring story from elementary school administrators in Taoyuan City, Taiwan.

They are inviting educators worldwide to join a meaningful pen pal project aimed at empowering girls globally. Through letter writing, students connect across cultures: learning about life in different countries while building real friendships.

This simple yet powerful exchange helps girls grow in confidence, English communication skills, and self-expression. More importantly, it nurtures empathy and a deeper understanding of our shared humanity.
