In Buddhism, to not kill is a precept all practitioners must follow. However, we know that countless animals are still slaughtered for consumption every day. This winter, we joined LA Animal Save at a chicken vigil, where those who hold all sentient beings as sacred come together to offer their love and reverence to those chickens that will be then sent for slaughter.
In a compassionate gesture of humanity, join us as we learn how we can honor all sentient beings while following the precepts, and following Dharma Master Cheng Yen’s guidance to stop eating meat to help prevent the onset of the world’s next zoonotic disease.
