When our Tzu Chi Vision Mobile Clinic staff first met Marcos Loya, they had no idea they’d be getting glasses to a world-class musician. A master of many instruments, he rose to fame after appearing in the Madonna music video for “La Isla Bonita.” But, as an artist, he admits the journey has not been so straightforward: “there was a point where I was without glasses, you know. I had hit some rough times.” See the song he performed for us to say thank you to everyone who helped make it possible for him to see better, clearer days ahead.
