The Jorge Martin Story

Resilience is a part of the human spirit. But, when life deals you blow after blow, it can be hard to stand back up all on your own.

This is the case of Jorge Martin. He lives in San Diego, CA with his two daughters. After his wife Blanca received a devastating diagnosis of #PancreaticCancer in 2020, the family found themselves struggling to get by while Blanca received the medical care she needed to survive.

In their hour of need, discover how Tzu Chi USA volunteers from our San Diego Service Center were able to provide interim financial assistance, which included rental support, as the family maneuvered through difficulty, and, later on, grief.
