Service Is the Greatest Pleasure in Mesa

For the last 27 years, the Tzu Chi Phoenix Service Center has been providing charitable services to the greater Phoenix community. But, since last year, volunteers have stepped up their offerings by hosting dental outreaches, which offer dental exams, teeth cleanings, and dental procedures completely free of charge.

In fact, at a Tzu Chi food distribution in neighboring city Mesa, AZ, those who picked up packages of groceries could also pop in to get treatment at Tzu Chi Medical’s dental outreach. Ren explains that “we try to integrate the charity mission with the medical mission, together.” This thoughtful service has not gone unnoticed.

Care recipient Dominic Flores says “this is one of the best resources within the Mesa area. The service is beyond measure.” And, of the welcoming treatment of volunteers from both Tzu Chi and partners at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Dominic says “you’re at home.”
