A Portrait of Madame Francklette

Series: Unity Makes Strength
| 4:25m

At one of our rice distributions, we had the pleasure of meeting a loving grandmother who shared her story with us, saying that “it’s the first time since October 3rd that people were calm, caring, and smiling. It was a beautiful thing.” When Hurricane Matthew hit Haiti in 2016, Madame Francklette Landet lost much of her personal belongings, but she did not lose hope. Having been a teacher, she also continues to educate and take care of her young grandchildren.
