When one woman heard about the earthquake, in a heartbeat she found All Hands Volunteers, a disaster relief organization powered by volunteers, and came to Ecuador. After a year building homes for families that might otherwise still be homeless, she truly exemplifies the volunteer experience: “You do it because you want to help people, but inevitably you get some amazing rewards and I think that’s why people keep doing it.”
