The only shelter that Rolando and his elderly mother have known for a year now is a makeshift tent. After the Ecuador Earthquake of 2016 all but engulfed their old home, they have forged ahead steadfastly, but progress has been distressingly slow, and riddled with obstacles. Painting signs is one means, however, that Rolando has found to quell the unease, and support his own needs as well as those of his mother.
