Tzu Chi USA is hosting its annual volunteer training in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, the very first session of 2019. The program aims to inspire compassion and point out a more enlightened path in life. Volunteers are adopting Master Cheng Yen’s principles and incorporating them into their daily lives. “As young people, I think it’s very interesting to be able to help others in our community,” states one enthusiastic volunteer. The establishment of this program supports Tzu Chi’s efforts to help the nation overcome its current state of famine.
