As the global outbreak of COVID-19 swept across the United States, while New York grabbed the headlines, the Native American Navajo Nation was the hardest-hit. This series takes us to Diné Bikéyah (Navajoland) in Arizona and offers an inside look at the challenging situation faced by the Navajo, who call themselves the Diné (The People). While shedding some light on their culture and traditions, it reveals the aid efforts of Tzu Chi USA and other groups striving to protect this vulnerable population, quarantining in remote and isolated places on the reservation, often without running water or electricity.
