After learning more about the plight of members of the Navajo Nation through community contacts and a May op-ed released in the New York Times, Tzu Chi Phoenix volunteers prepared and packed PPE donations to deliver directly to Gallup, New Mexico. There, they worked with a Baháʼí volunteer group to distribute critical supplies, and made donations to the Sage Memorial Hospital and the Navajo & Hopi Families COVID-19 Relief Fund, though there is still more to be done.
