Disaster Relief

Just one week before the earthquake, the people of tiny Rio Chico – a rural village near Portoviejo, the capital of the province of Manabi – had to cope with flooding. And then the earthquake struck, and their grief about the loss of loved ones is still raw. With the arrival of Tzu Chi volunteers and the Cash For Relief program, as residents clean their town, their focus is drawn to how material things are not as important as cultivating a loving humanitarian heart.

#Plank4Ecuador to help Ecuadorians as Tzu Chi transitions from emergency to mid and long term aid.
