Our disaster assessment in Tláhuac led our volunteers into people’s homes and hearts. Each family has its unique hardships, and miracles. In one household, a disabled son’s request that his mom move him to the patio saved their lives as the earthquake crushed his room seconds later. As our volunteers and those they met came together, cultural and language differences fall away, replaced by universal fellowship based on love.
