Puerto Rico's Perseverance: Post-Maria | 2:44

Surviving in San Juan: Post Maria

Disaster Relief

When Hurricane Maria visited San Juan, Puerto Rico, she came, she saw and she conquered taking most of the resident’s worldly possessions with her. The devastation was so intense that the people in the capital city did not have the means to recoup all that was lost. Through accumulated donations, Tzu Chi USA volunteers were able to distribute charitable offerings to aid the recovery. Although our Founder, Master Cheng Yen says, “True happiness is measured by love, and not by one’s possessions” the hope is to improve the quality of life for those with little to no resources by meeting basic needs. One never knows when catastrophe can strike close to home.

Please join us and support our efforts in providing supplies and resources to those in need.
