Forced to spend the night in a parking lot with her husband after the fire and facing the sudden reality of homelessness and loss, she told us “it’s the worst feeling ever. You just want to go home.”
But, after receiving a cash card filled with emergency financial assistance from Tzu Chi Northwest volunteers, she and her husband are looking forward: “hopefully this will help us get this cleaned up and get home.”
