“At the crowded train station, people hurried in and out, children crying and people shouting,” reflected Tiffany Tu, a Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation Project Specialist who’d gone to Poland, hoping to provide care and assistance to Ukrainian refugees. While the hurdles were daunting, there are also many people who wish to make a difference. Working together with like-minded partners and local Ukrainian volunteers has made greater, more varied aid possible, like mental health support, medical assistance, and language and employment services.
