Disaster Relief

After the earthquake in Ecuador in April 2016, small towns were left to fend for themselves as disaster aid flowed to big cities first. Tzu Chi is adamant about not leaving anyone behind, so their disaster assessment team travelled hundreds of miles a day to reach underserved communities in towns like Canoa, where 80% of residents worked in businesses related to tourism, and are now suddenly unemployed and living in tents.

#Plank4Ecuador to support Ecuadorians on the long road to full recovery after the earthquake.
