On February 24, 2023, representatives from international relief organizations visited Tzu Chi USA Headquarters in San Dimas, CA to meet with Chief Executive Officer Debra Boudreaux. The date is significant: it marks the one year anniversary of the start of war between Russia and Ukraine.
Both of the organizations present, including IsraAID and ADRA International, had teamed up with Tzu Chi since that time to provide international aid, both to those in Ukraine and its surrounding countries. Now, representatives are discussing new potential for collaboration, presented by recent earthquakes in Turkey & Syria.
Alex Balint of ADRA International and Yotam Polizer of IsraAID are optimistic for the future of teaming up: “We are also very excited to partner with Tzu Chi now and our teams are actually together, on the ground, right now in Turkey. [We’re] looking forward to developing that partnership and support many people in the affected areas.”
