Disaster Relief

For the residents of Yabucoa, Puerto Rico losing all their worldly possessions became a harsh reality in the wake of Hurricane Maria. Searching for assistance for most of the residents leads to dead ends “After the hurricane, there was nothing left FEMA denied me help because I didn’t own a deed. I didn’t receive help from anyone.” recounts resident Hilario Fernández. Tzu Chi USA, through monetary donations and supplies, were able to offer aid to those who needed it most. For the parts of the island that are still absent of electricity gifts of solar-powered light bulbs are helping those residents illuminate the path to restoration. Will you help us keep the lights on? In the words of Master Cheng Yen “There are two things in life that cannot be delayed – being filial and being charitable.”

Please join us and support our efforts in providing supplies and resources to those in need.
