“The ashes were coming, and they were falling like rain,” one care recipient told us, illustrating the scene of the Whittier fire that destroyed her home. Resident’s lives have been turned upside down by this disaster, and our relief volunteers in Santa Barbara, California, have been providing speedy emergency financial assistance as well as our compassionate care.
