Helping Hope Continue
Series: Healing LA From The Wildfires“Money is important, but what is important now is human touch. A simple, gentle hug,” shared our CEO, Debra Boudreaux, during our relief distribution on January 25, offering hope and care to Altadena residents affected by the Eaton fire.
Cheryl McMurray, among fellow care recipients like Jose Bugarin and Stephanie Spruill, expressed her gratitude: “It was organized, it was caring. It made me feel good that there were people in the world that care.”
Cheryl and Stephanie, both having lost homes they’d owned for over 40 years, remain optimistic and strong. Jose’s brave efforts to save his home from heavy damage also saved those of his neighbors’.”We’re all in the same boat together,” Stephanie said. “So, thank you, Tzu Chi! Help us continue to hope.”
