The Hawaiian Islands: Fire, Floods and Winds in Paradise | 2:45

New Hope for Kilauea Survivors

August 23, 2018

Disaster Relief

The people of Hawaii were devastated by the Kilauea volcanic eruption on Hawaii’s Big Island. Many were forced to flee from their homes, and avoid the path of the flowing hot lava while seeking shelter and safety. The financial and emotional damages from the erupted volcano were insurmountable. Enter Tzu Chi’s disaster relief aid, in cooperation with Hawaii County and American Red Cross, that is holding a financial aid distribution for Hilo County residents affected by Kilauea.
