“I represent Master Cheng Yen’s spirit, the spirits of all members who want to do one thing, to calm the pain, and the suffering of the people,” shares Jennifer Ruiz, Buddhist Tzu Chi volunteer. The people of La Union are the recipients of the organization’s compassion as they struggle to recover from the floods that destroyed their town.
