Our disaster assessment reaches “Conchita,” an underprivileged neighborhood in San Gregorio where some must work in other towns and commute daily. For one single mother, being away from her kids when the earthquake struck is stressful even as a memory. Thankfully, her children survived and Laura’s determined to rebuild their humble home, yet there’s no denying that it’s tough facing the work that lies ahead.
