Ecuadorians in New York carry their native homeland in their hearts, as do Tzu Chi volunteers, who formed heartfelt connections with the Ecuadorian people while provided disaster relief following April’s earthquake in Ecuador. To express their solidarity and as a sign of Tzu Chi’s ongoing aid, volunteers joined the 34th Annual Ecuadorian Parade, which was a festive affair, despite a layer of shared sorrow.
