From veterans to high school students, residents of Lumberton, North Carolina, came together to continue relief efforts in their community post-Hurricane Florence. Tzu Chi USA returned to the small town to continue distributing cash cards, supplies and support. Veteran and volunteer Warren Altman expresses, “I think Tzu Chi is wonderful because they came once before and helped out a lot of members in our community.” Tzu Chi continues answering the call for those who are suffering and in need. The organization has also inspired volunteers through its actions and shared philosophies. High school student and volunteer Nathan Sinclair remarks, “It’s inspirational because they didn’t have to come here today. They don’t have to care about us But they do because we are all humans, and so we should all care about each other.” To Lumberton with love, Tzu Chi.
