Many people in San Gregorio were affected by the earthquake, and the horrors they witnessed are a wound that won’t heal. Flora Garcia Galicia is one of them, and she was afraid to set foot outside her home. But at the urging of a psychologist, she began talking to her neighbors and discovered that she’s not alone in her trauma. And now that’s she’s helping as a Tzu Chi volunteer, she feels that the recovery has finally begun.
