Giving Food a Second Life

Series: Very Veggie Movement

Hunger exists, even in affluent communities across America. At the same time, grocery stores, bakeries, and markets regularly toss out surplus or expiring food in the garbage. The people behind Food Not Bombs, a group of independent collectives, saw this as an opportunity to help those in need. Discover how they’re making a difference in the heart of New York City through sharing free vegan and vegetarian food and hot meals.
