We’re saying goodbye to 2021 and welcoming 2022.
In honor of endings and new beginnings, we present this special song by Bart Shatto, featuring Rosa Martínez, Pauline Parkhurst, Nicholas J. Reese, and Justin Robertazzi.
It channels so many emotions we’ve all been through while facing this year’s biggest challenges. From a constantly menacing pandemic, to deadly wildfires, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes and more, at Tzu Chi USA, we have prayed ardently for an end to disasters of all kinds.
At the same time, we have soaked in this year’s wonderful moments; those that reminded us of the joy of connection and of the goodness of humanity. It’s this duality that is perfectly encapsulated in the lyrics of this song:
