United in Action: Women and the Climate Crisis

Series: United in Action. Dialogue at Tzu Chi Center
| 33:45m

Welcome to United in Action: Dialogue at the Tzu Chi Center for relief.

These monthly episodes hosted by Steve Chiu are centered on where Tzu Chi’s mission and the mission of the United Nations align:  improving lives and transforming communities by eradicating poverty, promoting development, and upholding human rights. We kick off our first ever episode with our guests Christine Tirado, co-author of the IPCC 2022 AR6 Report, and Saphira Rameshfar from Baha\’i International. In this talk, we’ll be discussing the relationship between women and the climate crisis. The climate crisis disproportionately impacts the most vulnerable communities among us. How do we take action to make a real impact on climate change? How can we adapt to the world as it changes? How can we empower those most affected with the resources we have? All this and more on this episode of United in Action.
