Performing together on the Tzu Chi USA virtual stage for the first time, we introduce a talented group of Tzu Chi Young Leaders (also known as Tzu Ching) from Seattle, WA. The band consists of vocalist Evelyn Cheng, pianist Nat Chiu, violinist Ling Ling Lee, guitarist Emma Sturgill, and drummer Christina Kuo.
Of their song choice, “Shining Star” (originally performed at the Tzu Chi USA Giving Tuesday 2022 Charity Concert), Evelyn explains that “as young volunteers, each of us are like tiny stars. Many volunteers together can make a big impact in our communities, just like many stars can light up the night sky.” It’s a beautiful metaphor for the power that lies in #togetherness.
