Who We Are
Tzu Chi means Compassion and Relief. The Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation has volunteers in over 50 countries spreading the missions of Charity, Medicine, Education and Humanistic Culture, and relief operations in over 90 countries around the globe. Jing Si means Still Contemplation. It describes the state of mind of the Buddha just before He attained enlightenment, and is also the name of the Abode where Tzu Chi’s founder, Dharma Master Cheng Yen, lives.
